In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from new builds to restoration and renovation efforts. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute masonry projects. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials with precision using hand tools and power tools. Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to ensure structural integrity. Build and dismantle masonry scaffolding safely to access elevated work areas. Perform concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing surfaces for durability and aesthetic appeal. Execute mortar work with skillful application to bond bricks and stones securely while maintaining proper joint alignment. Install building materials such as drywall, stucco, trim carpentry elements, metal studs, and roofing components as needed for comprehensive construction projects. Operate heavy equipment responsibly during site preparation or material transportation while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret construction plans and specifications accurately to meet project requirements efficiently. Conduct restoration work on existing structures by applying masonry techniques suited for renovation projects. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on masonry or bricklaying is essential. Demonstrated ability in concrete masonry work including block laying, stone masonry, and related techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is required for precise execution of tasks. Experience in rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, tile laying, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a secure working environment at all times. Prior involvement in renovation or restoration projects will be considered an asset.
