Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mason/Bricklayer to join our dynamic Spherion team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life through precise brickwork, stone masonry, concrete finishing, and related construction tasks. Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate masonry installation. Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other building materials with precision and adherence to safety standards. Perform concrete finishing tasks such as pouring, smoothing, and sealing to achieve desired textures and finishes. Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork for concrete structures in accordance with engineering specifications. Build and dismantle masonry scaffolding safely to access work areas at various heights. Execute mortar work including mixing, applying, and finishing mortar joints for stability and visual appeal. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing masonry units while maintaining safety protocols. Experience Proven masonry experience with a strong portfolio of bricklaying, stone masonry, and concrete work. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Hands-on experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, and caulking. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation relevant to masonry projects is a plus. Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites. Experience in renovation or restoration projects is desirable. Strong understanding of building materials installation including metal stud framing and trim carpentry.
