Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Framing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the wooden framework of buildings, ensuring structural integrity and precision according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise in traditional wood framing will help bring architectural visions to life through expert carpentry skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to large commercial structures. Responsibilities Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately build wooden frameworks and structures. Perform traditional wood framing tasks using hand tools and power tools, including layout, dimensional measurements, cutting, and assembly of walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements. Execute precise framing and structural assembly while maintaining alignment and quality standards. Manage heavy lifting of framing materials as needed for structural assembly. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure safety protocols are followed and projects stay on schedule. Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a strong focus on traditional wood framing carpentry. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for measurements and dimensional calculations essential for precise work.
