Location:

San Diego County Position Overview Vester Pest Control is hiring a dependable and experienced Wood Repair Technician to complete termite-related wood repairs at residential and commercial properties throughout San Diego County. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on carpentry and construction experience who takes pride in producing clean, professional work. You will work from termite inspection reports and scopes of work to remove and replace damaged wood, complete structural and cosmetic repairs, and ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Responsibilities Remove and replace termite-damaged, dry-rotted, or deteriorated wood Complete repairs to fascia boards, eaves, rafters, roof trim, siding, decks, patio covers, door frames, window frames, and other wood components Read and follow termite inspection reports, diagrams, and repair scopes Measure, cut, install, and finish wood and related building materials Perform basic framing, carpentry, patching, caulking, sanding, and painting Identify additional damage or repair needs and communicate them to management Take before-and-after photos and properly document completed work Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and company vehicles Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, real estate agents, inspectors, and other team members Complete assigned jobs on schedule while maintaining quality standards Follow all company procedures and applicable safety requirements Qualifications Previous experience in carpentry, wood repair, construction, remodeling, roofing, or a related trade Strong working knowledge of wood repair techniques and common building materials Ability to safely operate saws, drills, nail guns, ladders, and other hand and power tools Ability to read measurements and follow written repair instructions Valid driver's license with a clean and insurable driving record Reliable transportation to the company office or assigned starting location Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to work on ladders, roofs, raised platforms, and in confined spaces Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Professional appearance and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience completing termite or dry-rot repairs Experience working from Wood-Destroying Organism reports Knowledge of structural and finish carpentry Experience with stucco, drywall, painting, roofing, or exterior repairs Branch 3 Field Representative or Applicator license is a plus but is not required Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus Compensation and Benefits Starting pay of $24
