Job Description

  • Job Title: Finish Carpenter / Flooring & Baseboard Installer
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on the installation, finishing, and quality craftsmanship of interior components within a modular home manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include installing flooring, baseboards, trim, doors, and other finish carpentry elements while ensuring all work meets company quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong finish carpentry experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work from blueprints and production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Install flooring materials including LVP, laminate, hardwood, and other residential flooring products.

+ Measure, cut, and install baseboards, casing, trim, crown molding, and other finish carpentry components.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production specifications to ensure accurate installation.

+ Perform layout work and material preparation to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.

+ Install interior doors, hardware, shelving, cabinets, and other finish materials as required.

+ Operate miter saws, table saws, nail guns, routers, and other carpentry tools safely and effectively.

+ Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, and overall appearance.

+ Repair or touch up damaged trim, flooring, and finish materials as needed.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.

+ Collaborate with production teams, supervisors, and other trades to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Minimum of 3 years of finish carpentry, flooring installation, or residential construction experience.

+ Strong experience installing baseboards, trim, doors, casing, and molding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.

+ Experience installing LVP, laminate, engineered hardwood, and other flooring materials.

+ Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment.

+ Strong measuring, layout, and material-cutting skills.

+ Ability to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience in modular home manufacturing or residential new construction preferred.

+ Cabinet installation experience is a plus.

+ Knowledge of construction materials, adhesives, and fastening techniques.

+ Ability to perform punch-list items and finish repairs.

+ Ability to lift materials and work in various positions including kneeling, bending, and reaching.

+ Familiarity with production-based environments and meeting daily production goals.

+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance record.

+ Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

  • Work Environment
  • This position is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility where modular homes are assembled indoors.

Employees work alongside multiple skilled trades in a production-driven environment focused on quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional Saturdays available based on production needs. The role requires standing for extended periods, frequent use of carpentry tools, lifting materials, and maintaining high standards of finish quality throughout the production process.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $30.

00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
