In this hybrid field leadership position, you will take total operational ownership over daily jobsite execution—combining master-level finish carpentry (custom cabinetry, built-ins, architectural trim) with complete site supervision. Managing in-house carpentry crews, sub-trades, and daily site logistics for a premier design-build firm with over 25 years of Southern California history, you will interpret architectural blueprints, enforce safety standards, and maintain strict quality control benchmarks. If you bring 5 or more years of residential site superintendence experience, elite finish woodworking skills, and strong client stewardship capabilities, Golden Touch Construction provides top-tier hourly compensation ($30-$50+/hr), performance bonuses, and long-term career stability.
Direct and sequence all daily jobsite construction activities—leading in-house carpentry crews, assigning tasks, managing trade partners, and enforcing site safety standards.
Hands-On Master Finish Carpentry:
Execute precision architectural millwork, custom cabinetry installations, built-in furniture, crown molding, casing, door sets, and structural framing modifications.
Architectural Blueprint & Design Literacy:
Read, navigate, and build directly from complex architectural plan sets, interior design elevations, structural details, and scope specifications.
Subcontractor & Logistics Management:
Schedule trade subcontractors, manage material deliveries, audit site inventories, and sequence workflows to hit target project milestones.
Quality Control & Budget Accountability:
Conduct rigorous daily inspections across framing, MEP rough-ins, and finish trades to ensure compliance with design specs and project budgets.
Client, Architect & Owner Communication:
Serve as the primary on-site liaison—providing clear project updates to homeowners, collaborating with designers, and resolving field issues.
Crew Mentorship & Skill Development:
Mentor apprentice carpenters and field assistants in safety protocols, precision finish techniques, and jobsite protection practices. What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Required Residential Leadership Tenure:
Minimum 5 years of verified experience operating as a Site Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, or Field Supervisor in high-end residential remodeling or custom home construction.
Master Finish Craftsmanship:
Demonstrated expertise in high-end finish carpentry—including custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, trim packages, and fine woodworking.
Plan Reading & Code Fluency:
High proficiency in reading architectural drawings, structural plans, and millwork shop drawings, with working knowledge of California Building Code (CBC) standards.
Leadership & Stakeholder Communication:
Strong team management skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, interior designers, architects, and trade contractors.
Mobility Credentials:
Valid Driver License with reliable personal transportation to travel to assigned regional job sites across Southern California.
Preferred Language Capabilities:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
Fabrication Background:
Hands-on experience in custom cabinet making, shop millwork, or furniture fabrication.
