We're not looking for someone who only knows how to install baseboard or hang cabinets. We need a carpenter who understands how a project comes together, takes pride in clean work, and can handle a variety of carpentry tasks from framing through final finish. If you know your trade, can solve problems in the field, and care about the details people actually see when a project is finished, we want to talk to you. What You'll Be Doing Finish carpentry and detailed trim work Baseboard, casing, crown molding and other architectural moldings Interior and exterior door installation and adjustment Cabinet and millwork installation Custom built-ins, shelving and miscellaneous woodwork Flooring installation and finish details Light framing, blocking and backing Wall and ceiling wood details Hardware installation and final adjustments Punch-list and finish work Layout, measuring, cutting and field modifications Working from plans, elevations and field dimensions Coordinating with project managers and other trades Keeping work areas clean, organized and professional What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional carpentry experience preferred Strong finish carpentry skills Experience with millwork and cabinetry Comfortable with both finish work and basic framing Ability to install base, casing, molding and trim accurately Comfortable working with saws, routers, nailers and standard carpentry tools Able to read a tape, understand layouts and work from plans Able to work independently without needing constant direction Strong attention to detail — gaps, reveals, joints and alignment matter Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Dependable, on time and able to work a full-time schedule Comfortable working on active residential and commercial job sites Own basic hand tools preferred About Build D3 Build D3 is a third-generation, family-centered general contractor based in Thousand Oaks, serving Southern California.
