Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Finish Carpenter/Installer and bring expert craftsmanship to commercial construction and renovation projects! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of custom carpentry, trim, and fixture installations, ensuring high-quality finishes that transform spaces. As a Finish Carpenter/Installer, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional results on time and within scope, contributing to the satisfaction of commercial owners and clients alike. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks. Measure, cut, assemble, and install woodwork, trim, siding, doors, fixtures, and other wood construction materials with precision. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, sanders, and rebar installation tools. Perform residential carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall finishing (plastering), caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, and mold remediation. Install siding, doors, windows, fixtures, and perform restoration or remodeling work as needed on various construction sites. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety protocols for power tool safety and overall site safety standards. Assist with interpreting construction plans and specifications to ensure all work aligns with project requirements; collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, or related fields within residential or restoration industries. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking; familiar with woodworking machines and wood construction materials. Strong understanding of construction plans and technical drawings; ability to interpret technical specifications accurately. Knowledge of power tool safety practices; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment on all projects. Experience with siding installation, door hanging, flooring installation, plastering, rebar installation or remodeling is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of working on ladders or scaffolding as required. Excellent problem-solving skills with handyman experience or assembly skills preferred; familiarity with mold remediation or fixture installation is a plus.
