Key Responsibilities Finish Carpentry & Installation Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, stairs, moldings, and other millwork to exacting standards. Perform fine detail work, including scribing, fitting, and on-site adjustments. Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Support layout, assembly, and installation of custom woodwork and casework. Install siding and exterior window trim Safety & Site Standards Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations, using proper PPE. Participate in bi-weekly safety meetings at our Napa office Keep job sites clean, organized, and ready for client or inspector visits. Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 80 lbs. throughout the workday. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and other trades. Take direction from foreman and superintendents. Promptly communicate material needs, potential schedule impacts, and design or field issues to the Superintendent or Project Manager. Represent Slarve Construction with professionalism on and off the jobsite. Qualifications Minimum of five years of professional experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry, millwork installation, or a closely related trade. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and finish-carpentry techniques. Proficiency in the safe and proper use of carpentry hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and detailed construction plans. Demonstrated craftsmanship, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills. Valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Regular driving between jobsites and supplier locations is an essential function of this position. Must possess the customary hand tools required for the finish-carpentry trade. The company will provide required power tools and specialty equipment.
