Apex, NC Job Description Join a dynamic team working on a confidential project in Apex, NC. As a carpenter, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and organization of the construction site, which at its peak will host over 500 contractors. Your role involves executing rough and finishing carpentry tasks to set up temporary safety structures, handrails, guard rails, and staircases. Responsibilities Perform rough and finishing carpentry work associated with setting up temporary and safety structures. Measure and cut materials to complete various tasks on site. Build boxes for trash cans to prevent them from blowing away. Construct temporary sign boards for posting safety bulletins. Install handrails, guard rails, and staircases. Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Build frameworks and wood stairways, install cabinets, batt and roll insulation, doors and hardware, toilet partitions and accessories, trim. Essential Skills Minimum of 1-2 years of construction experience. Proficiency in rough carpentry and framing. Ability to utilize hand and power tools effectively. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Formwork experience is a plus. Commercial door hardware experience is a plus. Apprenticeship in carpentry is beneficial. Ability to hang sheetrock, drop/cut ceiling tile, install flooring (carpet squares/VCT). Candidates will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the customer. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Apex, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
