Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter / Skilled Laborer to join our field operations crew. This is a versatile role for a well-rounded carpenter who knows their way around a commercial job site, takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, and can operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Self-Performed Carpentry:
Lead and execute high-quality, self-performed commercial carpentry tasks, including structural wood and metal framing, layout work, wall assemblies, blocking, doors/hardware installation, and exterior siding/trim packages.
Envelope & Finish Work:
Assist with exterior building finishes (including fiber-cement siding and custom PVC trim) and occasional interior drywall, taping, and commercial specialty finishes.
Concrete & Formwork:
Assist with setting forms, placing concrete, and structural modifications as needed.
Site Support & Logistics:
Support project teams and sub-trades by managing materials, staging equipment, and ensuring an organized workflow.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, orderly, and OSHA-compliant job site. Participate in daily safety meetings and enforce a zero-incident culture.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of active experience in commercial, industrial, or municipal construction.
Trade Skills:
Strong fundamental skills across multiple building trades, with a heavy emphasis on commercial carpentry and concrete.
Certifications:
OSHA 10 required .
Tools:
Must possess basic hand and power tools of the trade.
Mobility & Travel:
Valid driver's license and independent, reliable transportation to travel directly to regional project sites (primarily focused across Central and Eastern CT).
Compliance:
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening (Safety-Sensitive Position) and background check.
Top-Tier Compensation & Benefits Premium Hourly Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 / hour (Highly competitive, top-of-market pay scaled to your verified trade experience and proficiency).
