This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in carpentry while supporting skilled carpenters in delivering high-quality projects On Decks and Porchs. We provide a supportive environment where your skills can grow and your contributions make a real impact. Responsibilities Assist lead carpenters with various construction tasks, including framing projects. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install wood and other building materials. Handle heavy lifting of materials such as wood construction materials, and other supplies needed on-site. Help with site cleanup, material organization, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Participate in tasks like framing, installation under supervision. Qualifications Previous experience in carpentry is required; willingness to learn is essential. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and framing projects. Knowledge of safety procedures related to power tool use and construction site safety standards. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of construction plans, materials such as wood framing and remodeling techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with experienced carpenters and crew members. This position is paid from day one!
