Aerospace Job Description:
MD Turbines is seeking an experienced Carpenter to support our fast-paced aviation shipping and logistics operation. This position will primarily be responsible for building custom wooden crates, pallets, and shipping structures for aircraft engine parts and components being prepared for domestic and international drop shipments. The ideal candidate is skilled in carpentry, comfortable working from measurements and specifications, and able to produce quality work quickly while protecting high-value aviation components. Responsibilities Build custom wooden crates, pallets, skids, and shipping supports for aviation parts and components. Measure aircraft components and determine appropriate crate or pallet dimensions. Cut, assemble, reinforce, and modify wood packaging based on shipment requirements. Properly secure and protect highvalue aviation parts for transportation. Support highvolume and timesensitive drop shipments, including AOG priorities. Safely operate saws, drills, nail guns, hand tools, and other woodworking equipment. Work closely with Shipping & Receiving and Warehouse teams to meet daily shipment deadlines. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Previous carpentry, crating, palletbuilding, or industrial packaging experience required. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and work from dimensions and specifications. Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and safe operating practices. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple urgent projects. Comfortable working in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Ability to lift and handle materials associated with crate and pallet construction. Reliable, punctual, and teamoriented.

Someone who understands that these aren't ordinary shipping crates. Aircraft parts are high-value assets, and proper packaging is critical. We need a carpenter who can work quickly without sacrificing quality, accuracy, or protection of the material. Experience building custom crates and pallets for aviation or other high-value industrial equipment is a strong plus.
