Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, utilizing your carpentry expertise and hands-on labor skills. As a key contributor, you will be involved in building, remodeling, and restoring structures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safety standards are maintained throughout every phase of the project. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about construction, woodworking, and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble building materials. Perform framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, door hanging, fixture installation, and tile laying with precision. Assist with heavy lifting tasks, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and water damage restoration efforts. Support remodeling projects by assembling structures, installing mold remediation measures, and handling restoration industry tasks. Use construction estimating skills to assist in project planning and material procurement. Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to power tool safety protocols. Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of all tasks. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities including rebar installation, drywall work, siding application, and fixture hanging. Support site safety initiatives by following all safety procedures related to power tools and heavy equipment usage. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on residential carpentry or general building projects. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, and other construction equipment. Familiarity with various building materials such as wood construction materials, siding materials, drywall components, stucco finishes, and water damage restoration supplies. Knowledge of construction and ability to read construction plans accurately. Experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of site safety protocols including power tool safety. Previous involvement in remodeling projects or restoration industry work is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards. Handyman experience or general assembly skills are a plus for supporting diverse project needs.
