Job Description

Entry-Level Carpenter/Laborer - McCall Area CM Company, Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Entry-Level Carpenter to join our construction team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with beginning carpentry or construction experience who is ready to develop their skills and grow within the industry. Compensation Starting at $21.00 per hour, based on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available based on project needs. Key Responsibilities Measure, mark, cut, assemble, install, and repair construction materials. Assist with concrete forms, framing, temporary structures, doors, windows, and other construction components. Follow plans, layouts, instructions, and supervisor direction. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Check completed work for proper alignment, accuracy, and quality. Assist with receiving, staging, and handling materials. Perform general construction labor as assigned. Clean tools, materials, debris, and work areas throughout each workday. Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials. Follow all company, project, and OSHA safety requirements. Work collaboratively with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, and other project team members. Qualifications Beginning carpentry, construction, or related experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices. Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, and learn new skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Willingness to perform general labor and daily job-site cleanup. Must provide the basic hand tools required for the position. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors, around construction equipment, and at varying heights. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs. Work Location and Travel This position will initially be assigned to CM Company's current project in the McCall/Brundage area. The employee may have the opportunity to transition to projects in the Treasure Valley, or other locations. Lodging is provided when required for the assigned project. Per diem is based on the specific project and work location. Approved business mileage is reimbursed at the applicable federal mileage rate. Regular attendance at the assigned project site is required. Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for: Medical, dental, vision, and additional ancillary benefits. 401(k) retirement plan.
