Job Description

Position Overview Gem State Staffing-Nampa is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals for Wood Framing and Milling positions at a premier manufacturing facility in the area (furniture, not structural framing). In this role, you will use common woodworking tools and equipment to measure, cut, and process lumber to build internal framing components for furniture products, including couches, rocking chairs, and other specialized assemblies.
Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate:
$18.00 / hour
Payroll:
Paid Weekly Shift:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00
PM Overtime:
Some overtime and occasional Saturdays required based on production needs. Key Responsibilities Safely operate woodworking power tools and equipment (saws, drills, table saws, nail/staple guns, routers) to cut wood to exact specifications. Measure, cut, and mill lumber according to technical drawings, cut sheets, and work orders. Assemble wooden frames and structural components for couches, rocking chairs, and related furniture items. Perform quality checks on finished wood cuts to ensure accurate dimensions and smooth edges. Maintain an organized, clean workspace and adhere strictly to safety guidelines and equipment safety guards. Qualifications & Requirements Experience with common woodworking tools and hand/power tools in a production, carpentry, or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and execute precise cuts based on measurements. Strong attention to detail, safety-minded attitude, and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting. Must be able to pass E-Verify.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Physical Effort:
Active role requiring continuous standing, reaching, bending, lifting, and handling lumber throughout the shift. Must be able to regularly lift 50+ lbs.
Environment:
Typical wood milling and manufacturing facility environment with exposure to sawdust, moving machinery/tools, noise, and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
