BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Carpenter

• Skilled Tradesman is an experienced and trainable laborer skilled in carpentry in multiple areas of residential and commercial rebuilding, with a demonstrated track record in insurance restoration work.

Effective communication skills are essential during the reconstruction process. Carpenters reports directly to the Project Manager. Candidates are expected to possess a reliable truck and tools to execute tasks to a high standard.

Hourly Pay Range is:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General carpentry

• residential and commercial Demolition Tile Work Hanging cabinets Trim carpentry-baseboards Door hanging and taping Painting Light electrical/plumbing Rough framing consisting of re-framing homes and setting trusses Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication Comply with safety, quality & procedural standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Direct experience working as a skilled carpenter is required Knowledge of carpentry and use of carpentry related hand and power tools Self-motivated Work in confined areas (crawl space) Understand and follow oral and written instructions Communicate effectively in oral and written forms to execute required paperwork Identify hazards in assigned work areas Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others Meet the mental and physical demands of the job Ability to work with people in a professional manner Maintains a valid and current driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED equivalent required
