Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks that contribute to the successful completion of commercial projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural plans to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements. Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, and assemble building materials. Perform framing, drywall installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and siding work with precision. Execute finishing tasks such as caulking, plastering, painting, and trim carpentry to achieve polished results. Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, roofing, and water damage restoration as needed. Operate heavy machinery safely for tasks like heavy lifting, metal stud framing, or fabrication projects. Follow construction safety protocols including power tool safety practices and proper handling of wood construction materials. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Support restoration efforts by performing mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, or siding replacement when required. Install fixtures such as lighting, cabinetry, doors, and other hardware following detailed instructions. Requirements Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a solid understanding of residential carpentry techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces safely. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans. Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation is beneficial for job site access.
