Kuhlmann Construction Job Summary Kuhlmann Construction is seeking a motivated and dependable Residential Carpenter / All-Around Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will assist with and perform a wide range of residential construction tasks, including carpentry, framing, siding, cabinet installation, windows, doors, trim work, and general remodeling. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, good attitude, and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working on active job sites, and able to work well with a team while helping complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Responsibilities Perform residential carpentry and general construction tasks on remodeling and new construction projects Assist with framing, siding, cabinet installation, windows, doors, trim work, and other carpentry-related tasks Measure, cut, install, and assemble materials accurately according to project needs Read and follow basic plans, layouts, measurements, and jobsite instructions Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, ladders, and other jobsite equipment safely and efficiently Help prepare, organize, and clean job sites throughout each phase of construction Load, unload, move, and handle materials as needed Work with crew members, project managers, subcontractors, and homeowners in a professional manner Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Identify jobsite issues and communicate them clearly to the project manager or crew lead Learn new skills and take on additional responsibility as experience grows Qualifications Previous carpentry, remodeling, or residential construction experience preferred, but not required for the right person Experience with framing, siding, cabinets, windows, doors, trim, or general carpentry is a plus Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard Must have a good attitude and be willing to learn Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team Ability to measure accurately and pay close attention to detail Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic construction equipment Must be able to perform physical jobsite work, including lifting materials, climbing ladders, standing for long periods, and working outdoors Must have reliable transportation Basic hand tools and tool belt required Larger tools, specialty tools, and equipment are provided by Kuhlmann Construction Valid driver's license preferred Benefits $20-$30 per hour, based on experience Paid time off Paid holidays 401(k) Company 401(k) match after 1 year Steady full-time work Opportunity for training and growth Variety of residential construction projects Join Our Team Join Kuhlmann Construction as a Residential Carpenter / All-Around Carpenter and help us build high-quality residential projects with pride and craftsmanship.
