Union Benefits Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install glass and other materials for windows, doors, and other structures
• Remove broken or damaged glass and prepare surfaces for replacement
• Fabricate and install metal frames for glass installation
• Install weatherstripping, caulking, or other sealants to ensure proper insulation and prevent leaks
• Repair or replace glass in vehicles, including windshields, windows, and mirrors
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment to complete tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a glazier or in a related construction field
• Strong knowledge of construction painting, carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and construction estimating
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
