Wohlsdorf Builders is hiring a carpenter with experience in deck building and general construction. This role focuses primarily on building decks, patios, and outdoor structures, with work assisting on commercial door installations as needed. Pay rate depends on experience. Possibility to work weekend hours on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

Install doors, frames, and other hardware components according to specifications Install decking, railing and lighting systems according to specifications Demo and clean up of job sites Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements Use hand and power tools to assemble and install components Measure and cut materials to fit installation requirements Problem solve/troubleshoot as needed to fabricate or modify components as necessary for proper installation Communicate effectively with client regarding progress on the project Complete installations within specified timeframes Maintain a clean and organized work area, keep accurate inventory Follow all safety protocols

Requirements:

Experience in the construction industry is

REQUIRED

(Starting pay will be based on experience.) Self-motivation is a must; able to keep up with the pace of work- This type of construction job requires you to work quickly and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with various tools and equipment Knowledge of appropriate safety protocols and OSHA regulations Must possess own tool belt, appropriate work boots, small hand tools, safety glasses, work gloves. Employer will provide other work-related tools needed on site. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately Strong attention to detail, willing to learn and take on more tasks independently over time Ability to walk, stand, lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in heat or cold Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
