Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute a wide range of construction projects with precision and expertise. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing on-site activities, supervising team members, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring that all work meets safety standards and quality expectations. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate carpentry activities across multiple construction projects, including framing, drywall installation, siding, trim carpentry, and restoration work. Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of project specifications. Oversee metal building erection, metal stud framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing processes. Manage the use of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Supervise rebar placement, masonry tasks such as stucco and plastering, as well as siding and remodeling projects. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards; conduct regular site inspections. Collaborate with project managers to plan schedules, allocate resources, perform dimensional measurements accurately, and meet project deadlines. Train and mentor crew members in proper techniques for woodworking, drywall installation, framing, welding, and other carpentry skills. Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, site safety reports, and materials used; interpret schematics for troubleshooting issues. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, siding, and remodeling. Extensive knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, masonry work including stucco and plastering. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics; ability to perform accurate dimensional measurements using tape measures and other tools. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for framing, woodworking, welding (preferred), and finishing tasks. Strong understanding of construction management principles; capable of overseeing multiple trades on-site effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with scaffolding or working at heights is a plus. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements; familiarity with construction plans is required. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interpret technical instructions clearly. Valid construction site experience with knowledge of safety protocols; certification in OSHA or related safety training preferred.
