Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finish Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing interior and exterior trim elements, including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trim, and other woodwork components. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet high standards of quality, precision, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential and business projects, utilizing your craftsmanship to transform spaces with flawless finishes and meticulous attention to detail. Pay is based on experience. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute trim installations. Measure, cut, shape, and install various wood and composite materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Install interior and exterior trim including baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, wainscoting, and custom woodwork. Ensure proper fit, alignment, and finish of all trim components while adhering to safety standards for power tool safety and hand tool usage. Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, sanding, plastering, or patching to achieve a smooth finish. Operate woodworking machines and fabrication equipment safely to produce precise components for various projects. Conduct heavy lifting of materials and fixtures while maintaining safety protocols on the construction site. Support additional tasks such as door hanging and fixture installation when required. Qualifications Proven experience in residential carpentry with a focus on trim carpentry and finishing work. Basic knowledge of blueprint reading. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers; power tools including drills, nail guns, sanders; woodworking machines. Familiarity with construction site safety practices related to power tool safety and proper handling of wood construction materials. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes. Experience with remodeling projects.
