Crew Lead/Lead Carpenter BBSI company vehicle United States, North Carolina, Charlotte Sep 01, 2026 Updated Position Overview The ideal candidate is a seasoned residential carpenter who is ready to take the next step into a leadership-focused position. This role will be approximately 75% crew leadership and supervision and 25% hands-on carpentry. The Crew Lead will oversee employees and subcontractors, coordinate daily job-site activities, assist with materials, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects stay on track. The ideal candidate must also have experience using construction project management software, specifically JobTread and/or Buildertrend. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter who enjoys construction but is looking to transition away from performing heavy physical labor all day and take on greater responsibility, leadership, and ownership. Updated Qualifications 10+ years of carpentry experience required.

5+ years of residential construction experience required.

High-end custom residential remodeling experience required.

Previous experience working with designers required.

Previous crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience.

Strong residential remodeling and carpentry background.

Experience leading both employees and subcontractors.

Experience with JobTread and/or Buildertrend required.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Experience with:

Cabinet installation

Trim and finish carpentry

Demolition

Punch lists

General residential carpentry

Strong eye for quality and attention to detail, particularly when evaluating drywall and paint work completed by subcontractors.

Valid driver's license.

Reliable pickup truck capable of hauling a company trailer; company vehicle is not provided.

Ability and willingness to purchase and pick up materials.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Takes ownership and is invested in the success of the company.

Must be able to pass a drug test.

Must meet the company's background check requirements.
