We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to run our job sites, maintain our quality standards, and keep projects moving efficiently from demo to final punch list.
Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Management:
Serve as the primary lead on residential job sites across the Lincoln area. Supervise daily activity, maintain clean and safe work environments, and coordinate site access and scheduling.
Hands-On Craftsmanship:
Execute skilled carpentry tasks with a high degree of precision, including: Rough framing, structural modifications, and beam placements for open-concept layouts. Cabinet assembly and precision installation, custom trim, crown molding, baseboards, and casing. Subfloor preparation, dry-fitting tile/fixtures, and installing doors and window trim. Drywall patching, taping, texture matching, and finish work as needed.
Trade Coordination:
Work closely with specialized subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, tile setters) to ensure work is completed to plan, on schedule, and up to local codes.
Plan & Blueprint Execution:
Read and interpret construction drawings, cabinet elevation plans, and specifications to ensure precise physical execution.
Client & PM Communication:
Serve as the professional face of the company on-site. Provide daily updates to the Project Manager and maintain clear, polite communication with homeowners.
Quality & Detail Control:
Conduct ongoing quality checks, track material deliveries, manage job site materials, and aggressively complete punch list items to finish projects on time.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential carpentry, with at least 2+ years leading residential kitchen and bath remodeling projects.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of framing, cabinet installation, finish trim work, and general residential building codes.
Tools:
Company provides all major tools and equipment (candidate is only expected to carry standard personal hand tools/everyday tool belt).
Transportation & Driver's License:
Company work van provided for work travel and job site setup; candidate must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Communication & Professionalism:
Strong interpersonal skills, a clean appearance, and a client-first attitude while working in occupied homes.
Physical Capability:
