Job Summary Approved Handyman/ Custom Carpenters, is seeking a dependable and motivated Carpenter Apprentice to join our growing remodeling team. This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in carpentry and residential remodeling. Previous experience is not required. We are willing to train candidates who are reliable, safety-conscious, receptive to instruction and committed to developing their skills. Trade-school students, recent graduates and individuals beginning a career in construction are encouraged to apply. What You'll Learn and Do Assist with interior renovations and bathroom remodeling Perform demolition and prepare jobsites Learn framing and drywall installation Install trim, molding and doors Assist with flooring and tile work Install cabinets and fixtures Learn to use hand and power tools properly Protect, organize and clean jobsites Work alongside experienced carpenters on residential remodeling projects Qualifications Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Genuine interest in learning the carpentry trade Ability to follow directions and accept constructive feedback Attention to detail Professional and respectful conduct in customers' homes Ability to perform physical construction work and safely lift building materials Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel to jobs throughout South Jersey and Philadelphia Basic tool knowledge is helpful but not required What We Offer Starting pay of $19-$23 per hour, based on experience Hands-on training from experienced carpenters Pay review after the first 60 days Opportunities for advancement as your skills and responsibilities grow Experience in multiple areas of residential remodeling Consistent work for dependable employees Career progression from Apprentice to Carpenter and eventually Lead Carpenter This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a temporary job.
