About the Position Platinum Roofing & Construction, LLC has an immediate opening and is looking for a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our growing construction team in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. This position will perform a variety of carpentry and general construction tasks, including framing, repairs, trim work, installation (windows and doors), and remodeling projects. Experience in roofing is a plus. Responsibilities Perform rough and finish carpentry work on residential and commercial projects. Measure and install new windows, doors, trim around these items as well as trim around sky lights. Measure, cut, shape, and install wood and other building materials. Complete framing, decking, siding, trim, doors, windows, and other construction work. Perform repairs, replacements, and remodeling work as needed. Read and interpret basic plans, drawings, and measurements. Safely operate hand and power tools. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Work effectively with project managers, roofers, and other crew members. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and proper installation. Provide professional, respectful service to customers while working on their property. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous carpentry work is required, construction experience preferred. Roofing experience is a plus but not required (additional compensation would be applied when doing general roof repairs.). Knowledge of residential construction and building practices. Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials. Experience using common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and at various heights. Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
