Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute complex construction projects with precision and professionalism. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing carpentry crews, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring that all work meets safety standards, quality expectations, and project deadlines. Your expertise will drive the successful completion of diverse projects, including remodeling, restoration, and custom carpentry work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead teams, apply your extensive construction knowledge, and contribute to high-quality building outcomes. Duties Lead and supervise carpentry crews on various construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and safety compliance. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide project execution. Perform framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, roofing, siding. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively. Coordinate with project managers to plan daily activities, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as needed. Ensure quality control by inspecting work at various stages and making necessary adjustments to meet specifications. Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, materials used, safety incidents, and technical schematics. Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring crew members in technical skills such as woodworking, dimensional measurements, interpreting technical drawings, and heavy lifting techniques. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, roofing, siding. Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings including schematics for various construction applications. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation (e.g., forklifts or cranes), and measuring devices like tape measures for precise dimensional measurements. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety protocols. Strong understanding of concrete forming techniques alongside rebar installation and finishing processes. Familiarity with schematics related to electrical or plumbing systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills to coordinate teams effectively across multiple projects. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material estimates. Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance practices.
