Position Overview:
As a Carpenter at M.E.I.D. Construction, you will play a crucial role in bringing our projects to life. From framing and finishing to custom installations, your expertise will help us create structures that stand the test of time. Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, laminate, and other materials Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and countertops Perform precision woodworking with hand and power tools Ensure work is completed according to safety standards and building codes Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to achieve project goals
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a carpenter in the construction industry Proficiency in reading blueprints and using carpentry tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills OSHA certification and trade school diploma are advantageous Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs Why Choose M.E.I.D.
