Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman - Lunar Handyman & Construction (Rochester, NY) Full‑time Residential Carpentry, Deck Building & Remodeling Lunar Handyman & Construction is seeking a Lead Carpenter / Foreman with strong framing, finish carpentry, and deck‑building experience. This role is ideal for a carpenter who can work independently, lead small crews, and deliver high‑quality craftsmanship on residential remodeling and exterior projects. Responsibilities Lead and supervise small crews on residential carpentry and remodeling projects Perform structural framing , layout, and problem‑solving on active job sites Execute high‑quality finish carpentry : trim, doors, cabinetry installs, built‑ins, molding Build and rebuild decks , including framing, structural repairs, railings, and stair systems Coordinate daily workflow, delegate tasks, and maintain project timelines Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members Read plans, take accurate measurements, and ensure quality control Maintain a clean, safe, organized jobsite Support company standards for craftsmanship, communication, and client experience Required Experience 5+ years professional carpentry experience (framing + finish required) Deck building experience required (new builds, rebuilds, repairs) Proven ability to lead or supervise a crew Strong understanding of residential construction and remodeling Ability to work independently and make on‑site decisions Experience working in occupied homes and remodeling environments Requirements Must own reliable carpentry tools (specialty tools provided as needed) Must have a reliable work vehicle capable of transporting tools/materials Valid driver's license Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Professional, respectful jobsite behavior Preferred Skills (Not Required) Drywall hanging/finishing Light plumbing/electrical within handyman scope Tile installation experience What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent year‑round work Supportive, organized company with strong local reputation Opportunities to grow into larger leadership roles A team culture built on trust, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction
