Job Description:
Construction Laborer / CarpenterOverview Join our growing construction and development team as a Construction Laborer / Carpenter . In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in executing high-quality residential and commercial building, remodeling, and restoration projects. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual with a strong commitment to craftsmanship and job-site safety. Whether you are framing walls, installing fine finishes, or supporting restoration work, this position offers a fast-paced environment where your skills will be put to use and actively developed.
Key Responsibilities Carpentry & Framing:
Assist with rough framing, structural wood assembly, trim carpentry, and the installation of doors, windows, and hardware.
Job Execution:
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and assembly.
Tool & Equipment Operation:
Safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, pneumatic equipment) for cutting, shaping, and fastening building materials.
Material Handling & Prep:
Perform heavy lifting and moving of construction supplies, including framing lumber, Douglas fir studs, plywood subflooring, drywall panels, and rebar.
Restoration & Remodeling Support:
Assist with property remodeling tasks, finish work, stucco application, caulking, and general punch-list items.
Site Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment by handling debris cleanup, material staging, and proper waste disposal.
Safety Compliance:
Strictly adhere to all OSHA and job-site safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and safe power-tool operation.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven hands-on experience in residential or commercial construction, carpentry, or remodeling.
Technical Know-How:
Ability to accurately read blueprints, technical drawings, and framing layouts.
Tool Proficiency:
Confident and safe operation of standard construction hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs), climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Adaptability & Teamwork:
A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn new skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project leads and subcontractors.
Safety Mindset:
A rigorous dedication to maintaining a secure workspace and following safety guidelines.
