Full-Time, Temporary-to-Permanent About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician / Carpenter to support the repair, maintenance, and preparation of commercial mobile and modular buildings. This position is ideal for someone with a strong carpentry/construction background who is comfortable working independently and performing a variety of building repairs, including doors, flooring, roofing, walls, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components. Carpentry experience is very important for this position. Responsibilities Complete lease unit check-ins and inbound preventative maintenance inspections Perform general carpentry and building repairs with limited supervision Patch and repair composition, metal, and rubber roofing Repair interior wall coverings, ceilings, and flooring Install and replace exterior and interior doors Install and repair door hardware, levers, deadbolts, and related components Install and repair vinyl and aluminum windows Troubleshoot and repair electrical outlets, lighting components, and load centers Repair and replace plumbing fixtures and restroom components Troubleshoot HVAC and other mechanical components Perform repairs involving axles, hubs, bearings, brakes, wiring, and hitches Install and repair interior/exterior wall coverings and T-grid systems Assist with loading and unloading modular units and complexes Help with lot setup and organization of mobile/modular units Operate powered yard equipment after training Train new employees on Technician 1 responsibilities as needed Complete required documentation and maintenance forms Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Work toward established productivity and KPI goals What We're Looking For Strong carpentry/construction experience Previous experience as a Carpenter, Maintenance Technician, Foreman, Field Service Technician, or similar Experience with drywall, flooring, doors, windows, roofing, and general building repairs Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing and electrical issues Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Forklift and/or scissor lift certification is a plus Strong safety awareness and dependable attendance Physical Requirements Ability to work from ladders and around various equipment Ability to work on concrete and uneven surfaces for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to repeatedly pick up approximately 25 lbs. and carry materials up to 250 feet Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Position may require more than 40 hours per week and occasional days up to 12 hours Schedule & Work Environment Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM This is a hands-on position working with commercial mobile and modular buildings.
