Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will bring craftsmanship, precision, and efficiency to a variety of commercial projects. We are a family owned and operated business that is looking for reliable employees. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal studs, drywall, acoustical ceilings, etc. Perform framing, siding, door hanging, flooring installation, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing with precision. Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times during operation of woodworking and construction equipment. Heavy lifting of materials such as wood construction materials or fixtures to facilitate efficient project progress. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute tasks efficiently on-site. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking techniques. Experience in commercial carpentry projects including framing, drywall, flooring installation, door hanging, and accesory installation. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures related to power tool operation. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical plans accurately on-site. Commitment to safety standards including power tool safety protocols and site safety regulations.
