Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in support of facility construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance activities. This position assists in maintaining building structures, finishes, and operational areas by completing carpentry projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations. Duties and Tasks Perform basic carpentry repairs, framing support, trim repairs, door/window work, and building finish repairs under supervision or with guidance Assist with construction and renovation work by staging materials, preparing work areas, measuring, cutting, fastening, and cleaning up completed work areas. Safely use common carpentry hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and basic measuring/layout tools. Replace and repair like-for-like items such as trim, panels, ceiling materials, door hardware, basic fixtures, small framing members, and minor building finishes. Support demolition and site preparation by removing damaged materials, protecting surrounding areas, and disposing of debris properly. Complete assigned work orders with clear notes, material usage, follow-up needs, and any safety concerns found during the job. Learn farm building layouts, standard repair methods, material requirements, construction safety expectations, and trade authorization limits. Escalate complex layout issues, structural concerns, unsafe conditions, and work outside authorization scope to a higher-level carpenter or Maintenance Supervisor. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred. Strong attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial, industrial, construction, or facility maintenance carpentry preferred. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience reading blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications preferred. Knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and construction equipment safely.
