In person About Home Source Remodeling Home Source Remodeling is a growing residential remodeling company focused on delivering high-quality craftsmanship and a professional experience for our clients. Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, decks, windows, doors, siding, roofing, and other residential renovations. We are looking for a dependable carpenter with basic residential construction and remodeling experience to join our existing crews. Position Overview We are seeking a Carpenter who has a basic understanding of residential construction and is comfortable working with hand and power tools. This position will work alongside our experienced carpenters and lead carpenters on residential remodeling projects. The ideal candidate should be able to follow direction, complete assigned tasks, work safely and efficiently, and take pride in the quality of their work. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has construction or carpentry experience and wants to continue developing their skills while working on a wide variety of residential remodeling projects. Responsibilities- Work alongside lead carpenters and other members of the remodeling crew.
- Perform basic carpentry and residential construction tasks.
- Assist with framing, trim, doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, decking, drywall, and other remodeling work.
- Perform demolition and jobsite preparation.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials according to direction.
- Safely operate common hand and power tools.
- Assist with material handling and jobsite setup.
- Follow plans, measurements, and instructions provided by the lead carpenter or project manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Protect clients' homes and property while performing work.
- Communicate questions or problems to the lead carpenter.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and with attention to quality.
Qualified candidates should have:
- Previous carpentry, remodeling, or residential construction experience.
- Basic knowledge of residential construction methods.
- Experience using common hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic layout.
- Basic knowledge of framing and finish carpentry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
- Willingness to learn and develop additional carpentry skills.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Professional attitude when working in clients' homes.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting 50+ lbs.
