Job Description

Carpenter Foreman Job Description This role leads residential and commercial carpentry projects within approximately 45 minutes of the shop in New Tripoli. You oversee and perform a wide range of carpentry work, including windows, doors, hardware installation, additions, remodels, rough framing, and both wood and steel stud framing. You actively work on site with the crew, ensure quality workmanship, and contribute to successful completion of new construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities Lead and participate in residential and commercial carpentry projects within a 45-minute radius of the shop in New Tripoli. Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim work, and general carpentry tasks for new construction and remodels. Install windows, doors, and related hardware with a high level of accuracy and finish quality. Execute rough framing using wood and steel studs for various structural and non-structural applications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and complete work according to project requirements. Measure, cut, and assemble materials using appropriate hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and fit. Perform drywall-related tasks as needed, including installation and preparation for finishing. Install trim and finish components to meet aesthetic and functional standards on both residential and commercial projects. Coordinate day-to-day activities on the job site to maintain productivity, quality, and adherence to project timelines. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area on interior and exterior job sites. Use tape measures, squares, snips, utility knives, multi-tools, and other hand tools effectively and safely. Assist with general labor tasks related to construction and carpentry as needed to support project completion. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction. Proficiency in rough carpentry, including wood and steel stud framing. Experience with finish carpentry, including trim work and detailed interior finishes. Ability to install windows, doors, and associated hardware accurately and efficiently. Capability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Hands-on experience with drywall-related tasks in a construction environment. Proficient use of hand tools such as tape measures, multi-tools, utility knives, squares, and snips. Strong understanding of general construction practices and commercial construction environments. Reliable transportation to travel to job sites within approximately 45 minutes of the shop in New Tripoli. Ability to bring and maintain personal hand tools required for daily carpentry work. Capacity to work both independently and as part of a crew in a fast-paced job site environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in both residential and commercial carpentry projects. Background in new construction, additions, and remodels. Familiarity with metal stud installation in commercial construction. Comfort performing general labor tasks related to construction as needed. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Tripoli, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
