We're especially interested in someone with strong carpentry and framing fundamentals who also understands the other trades involved in completing an entire residential remodeling project. We care less about having the perfect résumé and more about what you can actually do. You should be the type of person who can be handed a scope of work, a company truck, a laborer and a jobsite in the morning—and make meaningful progress without needing someone standing over you. Requirements Valid driver's license and good driving record Reliable transportation to our shop/jobsite as required Ability to safely drive a company vehicle Own basic hand tools Strong knowledge of residential construction Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential construction Dependable attendance and communication Professional behavior around clients and their homes Compensation $30-$42+ per hour depending on demonstrated experience, leadership ability and independence. Someone who develops into a true crew leader—capable of independently running projects, supervising employees, managing materials and delivering East Oak-quality work—will have the opportunity to move into the top end of the pay scale. What We're Looking For Long Term We're looking for more than someone who wants to swing a hammer for a few months. East Oak is growing, and we want someone who can eventually be trusted as one of the company's primary field leaders. If you're an experienced residential remodeler who takes pride in your work, can lead other people, and wants an opportunity to grow with a small construction company, we'd like to talk.
