Job Description

Backroad Construction is looking for a dependable Carpenter Apprentice / Helper to join our residential construction team. This is an opportunity to learn the carpentry trade through hands-on experience while working alongside experienced craftsmen. Compensation & Benefits $16-$20 per hour Profit sharing 401(k) with company match Paid time off Monday-Friday schedule with no required weekend work Full-time day shift 8- or 10-hour shifts Overtime available What You'll Do Assist experienced carpenters with framing, installation, trim, and other construction tasks Help measure, cut, move, and prepare materials Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials Help set up and clean up residential job sites Learn proper use and care of carpentry tools and equipment Follow direction from lead carpenters and help keep projects on schedule Maintain a clean and safe work area What We're Looking For Previous construction or carpentry experience is helpful but not required Willingness to learn the carpentry trade Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to perform physical work and lift materials as needed Basic math skills Ability to follow instructions and work well with others Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites Safety-conscious attitude This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop practical carpentry skills and build a career in residential construction.
