Job Description
General Manager Nutting Carts/Acco Job Description Responsibilities Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the General Manager of Nutting Carts & Trailers is responsible for leading the overall business performance of the Nutting division, including operations, sales, marketing, and financial results. The GM holds full P&L accountability and ensures alignment between commercial growth objectives and operational capabilities. This role requires a balanced leader with strong strategic, commercial, and operational acumen who can drive performance, develop talent, and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Provide direct leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Nutting business, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, sales, and marketing to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and profitability targets are met. Own and manage full P&L accountability, aligning revenue generation and cost management to achieve business and financial objectives. Direct sales and marketing strategy, including dealer network management, pricing, quoting, trade show planning, and brand development initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and OEMs to support business growth and long-term partnerships. Align manufacturing capacity and labor planning with sales forecasts and customer demand through effective coordination and resource allocation. Drive operational excellence through Lean initiatives and KPI-based management focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Execute strategic growth initiatives that support the company s annual operating plan and long-term expansion objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate functions including Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure consistency across all business operations. Maintain a professional presence in the field through customer visits, dealer meetings, and corporate initiatives. Travel expected 25%-50% on a needed basis. The person in this role will help the organization achieve: Consistent growth in revenue, profitability, and market share through integrated commercial and operational leadership. Alignment between sales, production, and financial performance to ensure sustainable business results. Stronger relationships with customers and dealers that enhance Nutting s brand position within the Kito Crosby portfolio. Increased accountability and performance across all levels of the organization through structured KPIs and team development. Improved efficiency and process orientation through the application of Lean tools and continuous improvement practices. A strong culture of safety, engagement, and ownership throughout the business. Professional Experiences and Qualities The ideal candidate is an accomplished business leader with demonstrated success managing a manufacturing operation while also driving commercial growth. This individual should have a strong background in P&L management, sales leadership, and operational improvement within a complex manufacturing environment. The GM must be a hands-on, high-integrity leader who can effectively balance strategic thinking with practical execution. The ideal candidate should also possess, at minimum, the following qualifications and attributes: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with full P&L responsibility in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment. Proven track record of success in both commercial and operational leadership roles. Experience managing sales channels, dealer networks, and key customer relationships. Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and profitability. Experience developing and executing business strategies that achieve growth while maintaining operational excellence. Recognized for developing talent, building cohesive teams, and promoting accountability. Excellent communicator capable of working effectively across all levels of the organization. Education A bachelor s degree in business, Engineering, or another related technical discipline is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is considered a plus.
