Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenter Apprentice to join our dynamic construction team. Duties Assist skilled carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and other building materials according to construction plans and technical drawings Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim installation, siding, drywall, flooring, tile laying, and fixture installation Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution Support the fabrication of custom woodwork components and the installation of doors, windows, moldings, stucco, and other finishing elements Participate in construction site activities including heavy lifting, rebar installation, water damage restoration, plastering, caulking, and masonry work Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation and general construction site safety practices Assist with demolition, remodeling projects, restoration efforts including mold remediation and water damage repair Skills Basic understanding of construction estimating and reading blueprints or technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels; familiarity with power tools for woodworking including drills and sanders Knowledge of wood construction materials like framing lumber, plywood, drywall compounds, siding materials Experience or familiarity with residential carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, trim carpentry, flooring installation and tile laying Ability to interpret technical drawings for framing or remodeling projects accurately Understanding of power tool safety procedures and proper handling of woodworking machines Construction site experience including heavy lifting and working at heights safely Exposure to various aspects of the restoration industry such as plastering or mold remediation is a plus Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills in fabrication, metal stud framing or masonry techniques This role offers an exciting pathway into the construction industry by providing comprehensive training opportunities.
