Fabric & Stretch Wall Installation Technician - Division 9

Commercial Construction / Architectural Specialties / Acoustics Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fabric & Stretch Wall Installation Technician to join our team. This position focuses on the installation of architectural fabric systems, stretch wall systems, acoustic fabric treatments, fabric-wrapped panels, and other Division 9 specialty finishes in commercial environments throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with their hands, and takes pride in producing clean, precise, professional finishes. Experience with stretch fabric systems, acoustic treatments, upholstery, finish carpentry, wallcovering, or specialty construction is highly preferred. Responsibilities Install architectural stretch fabric and fabric wall systems Install acoustic fabric treatments and fabric-wrapped wall panels Install track systems used for stretch wall applications Measure, cut, stretch, tension, and finish fabric accurately Create clean corners, seams, edges, transitions, and penetrations Install acoustic substrates and related materials behind fabric systems Read measurements, layouts, drawings, and basic construction plans Use hand tools, power tools, lasers, levels, ladders, and construction equipment Perform field measurements and verify installation conditions Protect finished surfaces and maintain clean work areas Identify installation issues and communicate them to project supervisors Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades Follow jobsite safety requirements and company installation standards Travel to commercial jobsites throughout the DFW area Qualifications Previous experience installing stretch fabric, acoustic fabric, fabric wall systems, wallcoverings, upholstery, acoustic panels, or specialty finishes strongly preferred Division 9 or commercial construction experience is a plus Finish carpentry experience is highly desirable Strong measuring and layout skills Ability to make precise cuts and detailed finish work Comfortable working from ladders and elevated work areas Ability to use common hand and power tools Ability to lift and move construction materials as required Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable transportation Valid driver's license preferred Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Dependable, punctual, and professional on commercial jobsites

English/Spanish Ideal Candidate We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Stretch wall systems Acoustic fabric systems Fabric track systems Fabric-wrapped acoustic panels Wall upholstery Commercial wallcovering Acoustic treatments Architectural specialty finishes Finish carpentry Division 9 installations Theater, auditorium, church, office, hospitality, or studio acoustic installations What We're Looking For This is not just a general labor position. We are looking for someone who understands that fabric installation requires precision . Straight lines, tight fabric, clean corners, properly finished edges, and attention to small details are critical. Candidates with strong finish carpentry or upholstery skills who are willing to learn specialized acoustic fabric systems are also encouraged to apply. Pay:
$26.00 - $31.31 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
