A Carpenter builds and repairs wood frameworks or structures for houses and buildings, or builds and installs wood cabinets, furniture or other fixtures. May specialize in residential, commercial or industrial carpentry.
GLO Resources is currently hiring experienced Carpenters to work in Fulshear, TX. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts, overtime as needed.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Form Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves building and setting up formwork systems used to mold concrete for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other structural elements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in civil or commercial construction, particularly in wastewater treatment facility projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in building and assembling edge forms and gang forms Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents Construct, install, and dismantle wooden, metal, and prefabricated formwork Measure and cut materials using hand and power tools Build forms for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and bridges Ensure proper alignment and bracing of forms for wet concrete Coordinate with concrete crews during pours and finishing Use tools such as harness, hammer, circular saw, and tape measure Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a form carpenter with concrete work Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred Proficient with layout and general carpentry skills Familiar with construction site safety practices and PPE compliance Experience with wastewater treatment or infrastructure projects is a plus Physically fit and able to climb and perform physically demanding tasks Must pass a drug screening & background check
Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Pushing and pulling heavy objects
