Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a dependable, motivated carpenter to build shed frames on a contract basis. You will set your own schedule and be expected to complete an average of one shed frame per day, while meeting our quality standards. Other commissions available to those who can also paint, roof, or do electrical work. We provide training on our shed designs and building process. This opportunity is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, works independently, and takes pride in consistent craftsmanship. Pay and Schedule Contract position with a self-directed schedule. Compensation based on experience and production ability. Opportunity to earn more through additional production. Pay is commission based, you decide how much you want to earn based on hours you choose and productivity capabilities. Responsibilities Build shed frames according to provided designs and specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble framing components accurately. Maintain consistent workmanship while meeting production expectations. Monitor material inventory and order materials as needed to keep builds moving without supply shortages. Plan your work and manage your schedule to maintain steady production. Use tools safely and maintain a clean, organized work area. Communicate material needs, production progress, and issues that could affect completion. Qualifications Framing, carpentry, or related construction experience preferred. Ability to use a tape measure, saws, nail guns, and other common carpentry tools. Basic math skills for measurements and material quantities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safe work practices. Ability to handle the lifting and physical tasks involved in shed construction. Willingness to learn our designs, specifications, and building process.
