As a Marine Carpenter, you will utilize your extensive carpentry skills to interpret technical drawings, handle specialized woodworking materials, and contribute to the creation of durable, seaworthy structures. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional results that meet rigorous safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings specific to marine projects Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and composite materials using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines Construct and install framing, siding, trim carpentry, cabinetry, doors, fixtures, and moldings on boats or marine structures Perform heavy lifting and precise assembly of metal stud framing and other structural components for marine applications Conduct restoration work including plastering, drywall installation, caulking, and siding repairs to maintain vessel integrity Install interior fittings such as cabinets, doors, fixtures, and ensure proper fitment in tight or complex spaces Maintain strict adherence to power tool safety protocols while operating CNC machines or other specialized equipment for custom woodworking or mold remediation tasks Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, woodworking or residential carpentry with a focus on marine or restoration projects Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans for complex assemblies in a marine environment Proficient with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, metal stud framing equipment and CNC machinery Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywoods, composites, moldings, siding materials; experience with drywall installation and caulking techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on detail-oriented tasks like fixture installation or door hanging Construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety standards including power tool safety practices Nice-to-have skills include experience in the restoration industry or remodeling projects involving mold remediation or cabinetry installation; handyman skills are also valued Join us in delivering top-tier craftsmanship that stands up to the demanding conditions of marine environments!
