- Job Description
- As a Rigger, you will be responsible for moving and staging equipment and materials. You will align, block, and brace equipment and other large items, ensuring they are secure and tied down for transportation. This role involves performing general labor duties and assisting other trades personnel with their equipment and material needs.
- Responsibilities

- Essential Skills
- + 2-5 years of recent rigging experience depending on J level (J2, J3, or J4). + Preferably Rigger 1 Certification and Crane Signalman Certification. + Ability to follow work orders and use hand tools. + Mechanically inclined.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Shipboard experience is advantageous. + Must be DBIDS eligible.

- Work Environment
- The work environment is primarily in a shipyard and outdoor setting.
You will support work at various locations, including Nassco, BAE, MHI, and Naval. Shifts are 1st (7 AM - 3:30 PM) and, when needed, 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM). Must be able to work weekends, usually Saturdays, with the potential for overtime (2 hours before and after the shift). Average work hours are 40-55 hours per week, depending on workload.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
