Avid Builders is an award-winning general contractor based in West Seattle, specializing in high-quality craftsmanship for residential new construction and major renovation projects. We are seeking experienced carpenters capable of supporting all facets of these projects throughout the West Seattle area. - Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, co-workers, subcontractors, and the office.
- Handles daily general carpentry duties and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Maintains a solution-oriented, goal-focused mindset.
- Can read drawings and understand how to assemble a variety of projects.
- Brings integrity, honesty, and a genuine passion for construction.
- Has strong, well-rounded carpentry skills, including framing, layout, demolition, finish carpentry, and accessory installation.
- Understands subcontractor scopes of work and can help manage, coordinate, and troubleshoot field issues.
- Can create, adapt, and follow project schedules.
- Balances attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture.
- Has the ability to manage others and provide strong leadership.
- Takes a proactive approach to all aspects of a project and can plan days, weeks, and months ahead.
- Has strong references.
- Is dependable and has reliable transportation and tools.
- Has a minimum of 8 years of construction experience. Compensation and Benefits
- $45 per hour range, depending on experience.
- 10 days of PTO.
