Job Description

Job Overview Northwest Railway Museum is looking for an experienced carpenter to join its collection care team. Successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and replicating traditional joinery and moldings on historic railway cars and locomotives. They will repair/make wood window sashes, T&G cladding, doors, mortice and tenon for large timbers, make molds for the vacuum veneer press, and more. Excellent coordination and communications skills are essential. Knowledge of Secretary of the Interior Standards and work in historic preservation preferred. 8 years or more experience.
