Job Description

We're growing and looking for a highly skilled Trim Carpenter to join our team at Sandvig Construction ! Since 2005, Sandvig Construction has proudly served Eau Claire and the surrounding communities as a family-owned remodeling company. We specialize in interior and exterior remodels, home additions, and custom renovation projects. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, honesty, integrity, and care - for both our clients and our employees. Key Responsibilities Install interior trim including baseboard, casing, crown molding, wainscoting, shiplap, paneling, and custom millwork. Hang and adjust interior doors, install door hardware, and ensure proper reveals and alignment. Install window stools, aprons, jamb extensions, and specialty trim details. Layout, build, and install custom built-ins, shelving, and cabinetry enhancements. Scribe materials for tight, seamless finishes. Verify measurements and layout prior to installation to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and symmetry. Ensure high-level fit and finish standards are consistently met. Perform final finish work including filling nail holes, puttying, caulking, sanding, and other detail work to ensure a flawless finished appearance. Install finish accessories including towel bars, toilet paper holders, shelving hardware, closet components, and other final trim details. Protect finished surfaces and maintain clean, organized job sites. Collaborate with Project Managers, carpenters, and subcontractors to ensure project success Follow all safety protocols while ensuring all work complies with local building codes and industry standards. Requirements Prior experience in residential remodeling with a strong focus on finish/trim carpentry. Proven ability to execute high-end finish work with minimal supervision. Read and interpret blueprints, finish schedules, and detail drawings. Proficiency with finish carpentry tools including miter saws, table saws, routers, nailers, levels, and layout tools. Strong understanding of material movement, reveals, expansion gaps, and finishing techniques. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 pounds. Must be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and planks and able to perform work at heights as required.
