Job Description

  • Commercial Carpenter
  • Location:
  • Cheyenne, WY
  • Pay:
  • $25-$33/hr
  • Per Diem:
  • $100/day (for employees living 75+ miles from the project)
  • Schedule:
  • 40-60 Hours per Week, Monday-Friday with Occasional Saturdays
  • Project Duration:
  • Project is projected to last until April 2027
  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters to support a large-scale commercial construction project.

Candidates will assist with formwork, temporary structures, concrete foundations, and general carpentry activities on an active job site. This is an excellent opportunity for carpenters who enjoy working on large ground-up commercial projects and are looking for steady work with overtime opportunities.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Install and maintain temporary protection systems, including rails, walls, and stairs.

+ Assist form setters with commercial foundations, grade beams, footings, and concrete pads.

+ Build, modify, and strip concrete forms.

+ Perform rough carpentry, framing, layout, and site preparation work.

+ Support concrete pours and foundation activities.

+ Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

+ Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all job site safety requirements.

  • Requirements
  • + 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience. + Experience on large commercial construction projects. + Experience with concrete formwork and foundations preferred. + Knowledge of metal framing, plywood formwork, grade beams, footings, and columns. + Ability to read blueprints and work independently. + Reliable transportation. + Must provide steel-toed boots and basic carpenter hand tools.
  • Work Environment
  • + Large commercial construction project environment. + Working in crews ranging from 5-30 employees. + Reporting directly to on-site foremen. + Overtime available with schedules ranging from 40-60 hours per week.

  • This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $28.

00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
