In this specialized role, you and your working dog will deploy as a proven team to protect high-profile corporate partners, major event venues, maritime ports, and aviation/cargo hubs across the region. We offer top-tier compensation starting at $40/hour , supplemented by generous stipends covering canine maintenance, housing, and operational travel.

Key Responsibilities Field Detection Sweeps:

Deploy with your personal EDC to perform thorough, systematic explosive detection searches across assigned client sites and cargo facilities.

Canine Maintenance & Care:

Maintain full responsibility for your dog's daily 24/7 care, housing, feeding, conditioning, and health in compliance with strict industry standards.

Odor Proficiency & Decoy Drills:

Conduct ongoing odor detection training scenarios to ensure your K9 maintains peak search proficiency for regulatory and third-party certifications.

Logs & Compliance:

Maintain precise operational search logs, training records, and incident reports meeting TSA, 3PK9, state, and federal standards.

Compensation & Stipends Base Rate:

Starting at $40.00 per hour K9

Maintenance Stipend:

Dedicated stipend covering canine food, care, and upkeep

Travel Allowance:

Expense coverage and stipends provided for regional deployments across Florida Owner-Handler & K9 Requirements K9

Ownership:

Must personal-own a fully certified or certifiable working canine trained in explosive detection (single or dual purpose). K9

Standards:

Dog must weigh between 50-90 lbs, display exceptional social drive, and possess a calm temperament in high-density, high-noise environments.

Language Skills:

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required (reading, writing, and speaking).

Legal & Clearance:

U.S. Citizen or National with a High School Diploma/GED. Must pass a background check and drug screen; eligible for site credentials (e.g., SIDA, TWIC).

Experience & Schedule Experience:

Minimum 2+ years working as an EDC Handler in military (MWD), law enforcement, or commercial contractor environments.

Work Schedule:
